Roz Chast

Roz Chast has been making pysanky (Ukrainian dyed eggs) for more than a decade. The pysanky tradition goes back to pagan times, with motifs representing air, light, water, birth. But Chast has elected to forgo the conventional designs. Her eggs incorporate her own imagery -- characters familiar to her many fans.
