From the “Straight to Video” series - one I return to periodically – based on a possibly misbegotten nostalgia for that 80s phenomenon, the teen ensemble flick. That mash up of characters, overflowing with angst and hormones and yet always having an underlying sweetness (at least to our current jaded eyes). I was after the same kind of grouping, of huddling together, propping each other up, facing outwards, looking towards the world about to engulf them.
