Hazy Shade of Winter

15 February - 23 March 2025

The title for the exhibition "Hazy Shade of Winter" was inspired by Simon & Garfunkel's song on a dreary day in the end of January. Things were looking pretty desolate, on many levels, and I kept thinking of time -- and hope -- slipping away. They lyrics felt very appropriate: "Time, time, time, look what's become of me.... Look around, leaves are brown, and the sky is a hazy shade of winter ...
Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That's an easy thing to say
But if your hope should pass away
Simply pretend
That you can build them again..."

With luck-- and perseverance-- winter’s darkest hour is a sign that spring is on its way and we can find a way to build again.
